Richard III died here, the last English king killed in battle, ending Plantagenet rule. A visitor centre and marked trail cross the fields.
On Historic England's Register of Historic Battlefields — a designated area of land, not a ticketed attraction. Much of it is working farmland or open country; check access and keep to public rights of way.
