Coleton Fishacre
Coleton Fishacre was built in the 1920s for the D'Oyly Carte family of Gilbert and Sullivan fame, a rare and confident piece of Jazz Age design on the South Devon coast. The house is full of Art Deco detail, from streamlined fittings to original colour schemes, while the steep valley garden brims with exotic planting. Paths thread down through tree ferns and palms to a viewpoint above the water.
