Horton Court
Horton Court sits in a fold of the southern Cotswolds, a modest manor house with roots reaching back to the Norman period. Its rare detached Norman hall and an early Tudor garden loggia, modelled on Italian Renaissance ideas, make it architecturally remarkable for its size. The house is largely tenanted, but the ambulatory, garden and neighbouring medieval church reward a slow, curious visit.
