Prior Park Landscape Garden
Prior Park Landscape Garden is a sweeping 18th-century garden on the hillside above Bath, created by merchant and philanthropist Ralph Allen with advice from Alexander Pope and later landscaped to Capability Brown's vision. Its Palladian bridge โ one of only four such structures in the world โ is reflected in the serpentine lake below, with the entire city of Bath forming an unlikely and magnificent backdrop. It is a garden to slow down in and look out from.
- One of four Palladian bridges in the world
- Panoramic views over the city of Bath
- 18th-century landscape garden by Capability Brown
Best for garden history lovers and those who want a grand view without the crowds of central Bath.
