Shugborough Hall
Shugborough Hall in Staffordshire is the ancestral seat of the Earls of Lichfield, set in a grand landscape threaded with a remarkable collection of neo-classical monuments and follies. The hall itself contains fine period rooms, but it's the parkland with its ancient Chinese House, Tower of the Winds and Shepherd's Monument that gives Shugborough its unique, slightly mysterious character. Lord Lichfield the photographer gave the house a modern fame that sits intriguingly alongside its Georgian grandeur.
