St Anthony Battery
St Anthony Battery crowns St Anthony Head at the southern point of the Roseland Peninsula, built in the 1890s to defend the great natural harbour of Carrick Roads. It saw service through both World Wars before being decommissioned in the 1950s. The surviving buildings can be explored on foot, and a path below the walls leads to a bird hide overlooking a secluded cove, with wide views across the Fal estuary.
