Battle of Myton

A Scottish raiding force cut down a hastily raised English militia, many of them clergy — hence the Chapter of Myton.

On Historic England's Register of Historic Battlefields — a designated area of land, not a ticketed attraction. Much of it is working farmland or open country; check access and keep to public rights of way.
