Coombe Hill
Coombe Hill rises above Wendover as one of the highest points in the Chilterns, an open shoulder of chalk grassland topped by a striking Boer War memorial. The slopes are rich in wildflowers and butterflies, and skylarks sing overhead in summer. From the monument the land falls away to a wide view over the Aylesbury Vale, with Chequers tucked into the hills nearby. Paths link it into the wider escarpment.
- Boer War memorial
