Heysham Head
Heysham Head is a grassy headland jutting into Morecambe Bay, best known for a row of graves carved directly into the open rock beside the ruins of St Patrick's Chapel. These rock-cut tombs, linked to early Christianity, are among the most striking ancient sites on the north-west coast. The headland offers sweeping views over the bay's shifting sands towards the Lakeland hills.
