Hill Top
Hill Top Farm in the Lakeland village of Near Sawrey is where Beatrix Potter wrote and illustrated some of her most beloved tales, drawing inspiration from the farmhouse's cosy rooms and cottage garden. The 17th-century farmhouse has been preserved almost exactly as she left it, filled with the very objects that appear in her illustrations. A pilgrimage for Potter fans of every age, it sits in a picture-perfect corner of the Lake District.
