Upper Wharfedale
Upper Wharfedale is one of the great walking landscapes of the Yorkshire Dales, threaded by the young River Wharfe as it carves through limestone country. Drystone walls climb the fells, flower-rich hay meadows fill the valley floor, and stone field barns punctuate every view. The Trust looks after a swathe of this farmland and high ground, keeping its traditional patchwork โ and the wildlife it supports โ alive for walkers to roam.
